2005 Maserati Quattroporte – 5th generation – 4-door 5-seat Grand Tourer

ONLY 35,586 miles from new – stunning condition

Comprehensive DK Engineering (Ferrari engine) service history over the last 10 years see:- https://www.dkeng.co.uk/facilities/The_Workshop.html

Recent servicing included 4 new brake discs and brake pads – please see wheel photos showing new discs  - as well as a full mechanical inspection and service. The last service was on 24th March 2021 at 34,815 miles, just 771 miles travelled since.

As per the factory recall in 2015, replacement rear tie rods were fitted by Maranello Sales.

The first owner returned this car for servicing at H R Owen in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.

At 27,949 miles this car was treated to a full service and new clutch by DK Engineering as part of the sale agreement to the next owner

The current owner is a renowned world expert and restorer of one of the world’s top vintage GP racing car marques

With a fabulous colour combination of Verde Goodwood with complimenting immaculate beige leather upholstery, this Quattroporte also features a Bose upgraded stereo with CD changer, factory 6 ½” screen, Satnav/TV/handsfree, cruise control and heated/memory front seats.

H.R. Owen of South Kensington registered this car on 16th March 2005 presumably as a demonstrator, selling to a prominent surgeon and senior Oxford University Polo Team member the following month.

In 1999, Ferrari took full control of Maserati, creating Ferrari’s luxury car division. Powered therefore by a Ferrari-derived 4.2 litre ‘quad cam’ V8 engine developing 395bhp/333lbft and reputedly capable of 0-60mph in 5.4 seconds and 171mph, the Quattroporte featured a truly sumptuous interior as you can see in the photos.

According to the owner, there is only one blemish as you can see in the photos– that of a small delamination to the windscreen at the bottom corner on the driver’s side, which can of course easily be replaced.

Little used in the present short ownership since last year - the subject of this sale now is due to the retired owner’s desire to return to own a 1950s sports car, the garage space now required.

EXTRAORDINARY LOW MILEAGE at only 35,586 miles

GRAND TOURER – 4/5 seats – travel in style and comfort

I’d say that even when compared to the already value-for-money Bentley Arnage of the same period, the Quattroporte is far more exotic – offering much superior styling – and about £6000 more affordable!

Launched at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show, the 5th generation (M139) Pininfarina Quattroporte was styled by Ken Okuyama. He also styled the NSX Honda and Ferrari Enzo.
