Presented in outstanding fully rebuilt condition including new specially fabricated stainless steel petrol tank.

Just fresh from rolling road tuning and testing by the renowned Peter Burgess.

Pristine coachwork in metallic grey with re upholstered seats and carpets.

New matching hood, side-screens and tonneau.

This car was stripped to the smallest component and the following work carried out by professionals in my own workshop:

1. Chassis frame. All panels removed and shot blasted to bare metal. Tubing carefully inspected including doors and replacements welded in where required. Rust proofed and treated to 3 coats of light grey Paramount enamel
2. Engine and gearbox - Ford 100E
3.  Re-bored and crank ground by specialist engine workshop who also fitted updated Ford Side Valve Owners Club shell bearing con rods and main bearings. Also new camshaft bearings, pistons, valves and springs. Re-studded head and new water pump. Gearbox checked over, cleaned and oiled.
4. Axles and brakes, Fully refurbished with new wheel bearings including oversize repair kit on rear. New high ratio crown wheel and pinion for relaxed road cruising. New kingpins and bushes, spring shackles, brake actuators, springs and bonded high friction linings. New Panhard rods fitted front and rear. Wheels shot blasted and powder coated with rare Ford wide wheels on rear. New hubcaps painted to Dellow pattern. 6 new Blockley tyres including double spares.
5. Coachwork and Interior. Front and rear wings refurbished with particular attention to attachment points. Re-fitted with stainless steel fastenings. Re-panelled where necessary with refurbished original bonnet, scuttle and windscreen.
6. Instruments and electrics. New starter and alternator. Correct Dellow replica rev counter and refurbished speedometer. Full complement of other matching gauges and switches. New wiring throughout with new sidelights and direction indicators. Re-chromed headlamps and sidelamps.
7. New quality weather equipment including hood, side-screens and tonneau made to fit the car in the workshops of well-known specialist Simon Laxton
8.  New Spax custom made adjustable dampers fitted

The known history of this car as accounted for by the Dellow Register. This car was made in May 1951, and had a build no. of 297.   Hence the chassis no. was 297551 and this should be on the brass plate on the bulkhead together with its original engine No. C614617.

The car was distributed by C.Thomas of Fleetwood, hence the Blackpool registration, and sold to a Mr P.W.Bennett with a registration tax date of 1st August 1951. It was supplied as a complete car in colour Red, as opposed to a part built car, for some were marketed like this.

Initial ownerships after Bennett are missing, and this is often the case for our Register was only formed in 1971, so it is understandable that this is the case.

In 1971 the car belonged to a Robert Owen from Liverpool and later from Higher Besington, Merseyside. He retained the car until November 1977 when it was bought by a Brian Cope initially from Stafford and later from Sutton Coldfield. Brian was an active trialler and incidently owned two Dellows at this time. He kept the car until the early 1980s when it moved north again, this time to Oldham with an Alan Bottomley. We don’t know how long he owned the car for but our next record was with a Christopher Lishman in Carnforth, Lancs in 1996.

Finally I had an e-mail from Chris Sievers in June of this year to state that he had owned the car for many years. Chris informed me that the car was now fitted with a 100E engine with twin SUs but no other details. He did however send some pictures showing that the car was in good condition.
