The 5 POINTED STAR ON THE RADIATOR - explanation :-

During 5 days in 1928 Louis Delage drove 5677 kilometers in the form of a 5-pointed star to the 5 distant corners of France – (see illustration) as follows :-

1350 kms : 1st day : Brest to Nice in 23 hours 45 mins :  29th May 1928

1214 kms : 2nd day : Nice to Dunkirk in 20 hours : 30th May 1928

1014 kms : 3rd day : Dunkirk to Biarritz in 16 hours 2 mins : 31st May 1928

(If you draw a star across France, you get these diametrically opposed locations, hence the star)

Introduced in 1927, the six-cylinder DR was one of the best selling Delages of all time, offered in both 2177cc and the larger 2516cc version offered for sale here.
